Mike had a 2 day team builder meeting at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott. He liked the hotel so much he booked an extra night. So we packed up the kids and headed down for a overnight stay at the beach. The kids loved it. I have to agree with him the hotel was AMAZING. I am ready to go back

Ashton's Cubbies class had an assignment. Make a car to watch a movie in for the next meeting. Mike being the avid car enthusiast, was more than willing to tackle this father son project.

Ashton's car turned out awesome!! I have to say it was the best one there...but I may be a little partial. Ashton and Mike had so much fun working together on this project. I am excited and a litte nervous to see what daddy has up his sleeve for the next project. Let's just pray it's not life size!!

On 2/18/09 our family became complete.

He's no longer a baby but a toddler. He has changed so much in the past 12 months. He loves to eat and adores his big brother Ashton. We call Parker the destroyer. Every where he goes there is a path of destruction behind him. We have loved watching him grow and change over the past 12 months and we are really looking forward to what the future holds for our little brute.

With 3 days to spare until his 1st birthday. Parker has taken off. He has been pretty close for awhile, but yesterday Feb 14th he decided he was ready to go it alone. Now he won't sit still. It seems like it happened over night...I can't believe he is now a "toddler"

Christmas was awesome this year, we are so blessed to have such wonderful little boys. The boys each opened a gift a on Christmas Eve and hit the motherload on the Christmas morning. Mike and Ashton go camping (in the backyard)!!! Ashton was sooooooooooo excited. We picked up camping supplies from The Ehrles and Mike got home and went straight to work setting up the tent, chairs, air mattress, sleeping bags and small grill. They were all set! After double checking the sprinklers were off the little campers toasted marshmellows and headed to bed. Plus side for me...I got our entire king size bed to myself. It was a great night for everyone!

So we decided at 8am Friday morning we were heading to the river THAT NIGHT. So after work we put the boys in their pjs and headed out of town for a long overdue river trip. It was a perfect weekend. Parker loved being in the water and took 3 naps on the boat. Ashton re-discovered how much he enjoys jumping off the back of the boat. Sunday we stayed in a took our time heading home. Can't wait for the next one!

6 Months Old

Parker is officially 6 months (like 2 weeks ago I know). I know I say this every month, but I cannot believe how big he is getting. He weighs 16lbs 4oz and is 26 1/2 inches tall/long. He is eating solids like a champ!!! We still have NO teeth but I am assuming they will be here any day now. He is THIS CLOSE to crawling, he insists on steam rolling across the floor to get where he needs to be. He absolutely adores his big brother Ashton!

I can't believe its already August. I am such a bad blogger!!! A lot has happened in the past couple weeks...here is a quick re-cap I will post pictures later. It was a BUSY month to say the least.

Our Anniversary
July 12th marked our 6 year wedding anniversary. From what I can remember I think we went out to dinner. I know wild and crazy!!! Life is so different 2 kids later, we wonder what we did with all of our free time.

The circus- ZING ZANG ZOOM
We took Ashton to the circus. We went with our friends The Winks and their daughter Addyson. The kids had a great time and sat staring in amazement. We got to go see all the animal before the show, Ashton's favorite was the elephants and the tigers. We also got to walk around the stage floor and meet the performers. Thankfully Ashton is NOT afraid of clowns. The circus sure has changed since I was a kid, they don't mess around!! No more smelly hot tents!!

The Promotion
Mike got a well deserved promotion (round of applause). He is now a business sales manager at Verizon Wireless. We are so proud of him. He is now working the City of Industry. He has really come full circle, he started out in the retail store in City of Industry 10 years ago when Verizon was still Airtouch.

The Move
So we moved. Crazy!! We found an awesome house in Anaheim Hills. It's actually bigger then our Corona house. We are closer to Ashton's school, my office and our friends. Not to mention Porky's Pizza delivers to our new house!! If you haven't had Porky's Pizza you are so missing out!! They are worth the move alone. So far so good...we love it. We packed in 2 weeks, it's truly amazing how much stuff we accumulated over 4 years. And going from a 1 story to a 2 story is a true adjustment...what a workout!! The boys are now sharing a room and they are adjusting surprisingly well. Ashton loves the new house. We moved in August 1 which also happened to be Mike's 30th birthday.

Since we had most of our friends helping us move that day, why not add a cake and call it a party. I had my cousin Amanda make a cake. And let me tell you...it was so good. We ordered pizza (porky's of course) and hung out. Very mellow but what do you expect from a bunch of 30 year olds who just moved in that same day. In bed by 11!! Talk about 3 big changes in one person's life all in one day!!! He is handling all of it very well.

We braved the crowds and headed to Havasu for the 4th. We left Parker with Mike's parents for the weekend and took Ashton. We invited our friends the Winks who both Mike and I have known since grade school (scary!!) they have a 2 year old daughter Addyson. Ashton and Addyson always have so much fun together. This time was no different. These 2 went non-stop all weekend.
Ashton become quiet a little swimmer this weekend. He is now so comfortable in the water swimming around like a fish!
We spent all day Friday and Saturday on the water...the good news NO DEAD CARP!! I even backed the trailer into a spot. I have to say I was pretty proud of myself. However it did take a FEW tries but eventually I got it with damage to surrounding vehicles.
I have to say this was one of my all time favorite weekends at the river. I am so thankful we are able to go as often as we do. We always make so many special memories.

Parker was 4 months on June 18th...he's rolling over from his back to his stomach, can sit up for a short period of time and has become very vocal...he is very chatty. It's all going by so fast

Irvine Park

I had no idea there was such a thing as Irvine Park. They have train rides, a zoo with a black bear I might add, ponds, playgrounds, peacocks roaming the park and all of it is DIRT CHEAP. Ashton and I met Addyson and my friend Marissa there today. These 2 just LOVE each other it is absolutly adorable! We rode the train, walked through the zoo and pet the goats. Ashton is looking forward to his next date with Addy, the Circus in July!

Not only did he have peanuts AND cracker jacks, he had cotton candy and soda and hot dogs. I was prepared for an upset stomach. But apparently he has an iron stomach like Mike. Ashton loved the game, he had so much fun. We were the 3rd row from the tip top of the stadium. He chose a red rally monkey for his souvenir and has named him George.

Parker had his first haircut today...we had to trim it up, the kid was sporting a mullet. Turns out he's blondie! After learning a lesson last time about clippers and a 3 month old, Mike opted to use the Flowbee instead and much to every ones relief Parker has a great hair cut. Mike knew his life was on the line if he screwed this one up. Mike has earned his haircutting privileges back.

We headed to Lake Havasu for the weekend. This was Parker's first trip to the river and surly would be his last! It was such a great weekend. The weather was perfect. Although it was a bit crowded we managed. We took the boys out with us on Sunday and anchored in a little cove with Mike's parents. It made for a great morning. Ashton got to do some fishing with Papa and Parker earned his sea legs and had no trouble falling asleep on the boat. Parker also did fantastic on the drive out and back...slept the whole way. But that may have also had something do with us leaving around his bedtime! There is a method to my madness!!

Ashton is such an amazing kid...I am so proud to be his mommy! He is growing up so fast. He has such a personality and is so sweet, kind and thoughtful. He loves his brother so much. He is truly one special kid!!

3 Months Already??

3 months!! Parker is already 3 months! He has changed some much! He smiles all the time and we think he is getting his first tooth!! He's sleeping through the night and is an angel (as long as he's not in the car seat.) He is a total flirt!

This weekend will be his first trip to the river...we will see what is in store for us! First trip both kids holiday weekend...YIKES!! Stories to come...

The GRAND (Potty) PRIZE

Ashton is potty trained!!! HOORAY!! I was getting a little scared since 2 months ago he wanted nothing to do with the potty. He has been pull up free for a week!!! So for his GRAND Potty Prize Mike and I took him to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. He had a great time! His favorites were the Sea Lions and the Sea Turtles. It was a gorgous day down in Long Beach. After the Aquarium we walked along the waterfront and ate lunch at Bostons. It made for a great family day :)

I am so thankful we have so many potty prizes lying around the house I wasn't sure what I was going to do if it didn't work! It also make me realize how big Ashton is getting. I can't believe how time flies

Ashton has had a very active social calendar these past few weeks. All with ladies!!! OH MY!!!

He was invited to Addison's birthday party. These 2 are sooooo cute together. They chased each other all over the courtyard. They both lifted up their shirts and without any instruction from parents or on lookers proceeded to belly bump each other. It was the FUNNIEST thing ever!!

Last week, Ashton was invited over to Kendall's grandparents house for lunch. Pretty princess stuff everywhere!!! Ashton got in touch with his feminine side and put on some jewelry. Next was playdoe Ashton loves that stuff...then again what 3 year old doesnt!! Then a macaroni and cheese for lunch.

I wish we lived closer to our friends with kids. He has so much fun. But I gotta keep my eye on him to make sure he's not breaking any young hearts!!!

6 weeks already

The kid is growing like a weed!! Parker is smiling and cooing and talking so much. Oh did I mention he likes to cry too!! This kid is going to be my challenge I can tell. He is this close to sleeping through the night. One can only hope! Parker is getting so strong...he is able to hold his head up for so long. I can't wait to see what the next few weeks bring.

Grandma Frannie

My grandmother passed away on March 10th. She was 87. I remember when I was little we used to go down under the Pier in Laguna Beach and play scrabble and walk to breakfast. Those were the best times. I will miss her everyday. I am grateful that she was able to be a part of Ashton's life and she got to meet Parker. This the last picture taken of her before she died.

Everytime I drink a Martini or go to "her town" Laguna I will always be reminded of her and know she surrounds us everyday.

I can't believe it's a been a month already!!! Where has the time gone!!! Parker is doing well and getting big! The boy LOVES to eat! He is a hefty 9lbs!!! Ashton has been absolutly amazing and has taken everything in stride. Mike and I are doing well...besides a few less hours of sleep we seem to remember what to do.

Parker made his way into the world on 2/18/09 weighing 6lbs 9oz 19 3/4 inches long. Happy and healthy and no problems!!! Such a different experience from Ashton. This one was EASY in comparison. I pushed maybe 3 or 4 times for maybe 10 minutes!!!
Ashton loves being a big brother and helps change diapers and loves to give Parker kisses. He loves sitting on the couch and holding him and playing with his toes and and hands and stroking his hair.
We are getting used to having a baby in the house again, Parker is slowly getting used to days and night. He is a very mellow baby eat and sleep, that's all he asks.

A bump and a lump

As some of you may or may not know. About 3 months ago I found a lump in my right breast. I was thinking it was maybe a clogged milk duct etc. In January I had a biopsy and found that it is benign(hooray). Which my Dr. had suspected it was but just wanted to be sure.
I went to my Dr. today for a follow-up of how we are moving forward and he told me he wants to remove it. Not because he fears it will become cancercous, but because of the type of tumor it is. Fibroadenoma (I believe) these types of tumors can grow quite large. He said it would look like an implant...I think sweet I will only have to pay for one new boob!!! You know even the girls out!
He did say that he is no rush to have it removed, so I won't be delivering Parker and having it removed in the same hospital visit...although I must admit it would be ideal!!! It is an out patient surgery so Mike will get to be my nurse :) So maybe for my 30th birthday I will have surgery!!! Nice!

I am so thankful that is was not cancerous, although silver lining there would have been I could have gotten breast implants paid for by insurance...not so bad right ;)

39 weeks...and still waiting

So here I sit at 39 weeks...no dialation...nothing!!! But this is a good thing!! I now have a "reservation" at the new maternity wing of St Jude Hospital on Wednesday February 17th to be induced. Which I am very excited about...so I am hoping Parker can work with that timeline it's all I am asking!!! So 8 more days!!!

Parker Update- 37 weeks and 4 days

Still baking...not much "action". He loves to shove his rump into my ribs. I have to hold on until at least Feb 13th...that's when the new Maternity wing at St. Jude opens. I have heard it's the best of everything and is absolutely amazing!!!

The baby showers are over, the nursery is done, the nesting is in full swing...all we need is Parker. I can't wait to meet him. I just can't believe how fast this pregnancy has flown by. So cross your fingers I make it till the 13th!!!

I don't know where the time has gone...Ashton is already 3. 3 seems soooooooo much older than 2. We had a Buzz Lightyear birthday party this year. No wonder Disney does so well!!! This year's big gift was from us and all the grandparents. Ashton got a bounce house!! He absolutely loved it!!! Nice part is we don't have to return it in 24 hours!!
He is talking so much more and loves to read. We have attempted potty training and he is showing little interest. We really aren't pushing the subject. We are going to let it happen when it happens. He is very excited to be a big brother and loves to kiss and hug my belly and talks to Parker.

I am 36 weeks! Less than 4 weeks and Parker will be here! I am excited, anxious, overwhelmed, overjoyed, panicked...there aren't enough words to describe the mixed bag of emotions we are feeling right now. I am so curious to see how this delivery will go if I will have to be induced or if my water will break at home!! AHHHH the unexpected don't make it easy to plan!

We went for our 3D ultrasound this past weekend. Parker was being a little stubborn about moving his arm away from his face. But then again there isn't really anywhere else to put it. Poor kid is running out of room. I think you can tell they are brothers for sure!! But then again that's just me. Ashton immediately recognized that is was Parker up on the monitor when the u/s tech started the scan. When we got home we found Ashton 3d ultrasound to compare and we watched the video. Ashton was convinced that video was of Parker as well. So now we sit and wait and count down the weeks until Parker's arrival. I just have one wish...that I make it past Ashton's birthday. Parker can come anytime after that!!!

Here is the Parker's room! I can't believe I only have potentially a little over 5 WEEKS left. I think this might be my favorite room in the house!! It's just so cute! Even done to the knobs on the dresser!! LEOPARD PRINT!!! The time has flown by!! We are going this Saturday to get our 3d/4d ultrasound! I am so excited! Especially to see if Parker has as much hair has Ashton did!
Anyhow here are few pics from the nursery. We need a couple more things we are 90% done!

Our Christmas was very Merry! Even though Mike and I bought our presents early this year, we really enojyed Ashton "getting into" the season. Although Mike still did act "suprised" about his gift that he has been playing with since NOVEMBER!!! Ashton loved EVERYTHING Christmas. And was on a constant mission to see Baby Jesus. We enjoyed breakfast with my family in the morning and then off the Mike's parents for a late lunch early dinner. So much easier than running everywhere. We are so lucky that it works out this way.

and it kept on snowing about 3 feet!! We took Ashton last weekend up to Wrightwood for his first time in the snow. He had so much fun throwing snowballs and building a snowman with daddy. I have to say it was our first white Christmas!!! We even went out and bought a sled the night before...ahh the novelty of it all!!! Glad we don't live in it!! I don't think I could do it!!!

(Almost) Immediately after we returned home from the river, Mike was in the attic pulling down Christmas stuff. He's such a good husband and Daddy! We set-up the tree although we didn't decorate until a few days later.
It is so enjoyable to watch Ashton's excitement when he sees Christmas lights or reindeer or even Santa Clause. It makes the holidays so much more fun. He is in charge of turning our Christmas tree lights on and off. Which he takes great pride in. It is going be our last Christmas with only 1 child...we are so looking forward to Parker's arrival. And can't wait to see what the year ahead holds for us as "larger" family

Thanksgiving

We had an enjoyable Thanksgiving this year...instead of heading to the stores on Friday we headed to the river! Got some use out of our boat since the next time probably won't be until mid-spring. The weather was lovely, with the exception of a "slight" wind. Thank god for Justin he kept Ashton entertained..."up horsey up, down horsey down" Up and down the ramp they went all the while Ashton hanging on to Justin's eyesockets.

We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family to spend the holidays with.

With the fires fresh in everyone's minds I would just like to say how grateful I am for fire fighters and law enforcement. Many of my friends and their families were evacuated this past weekend. Thankfully all are home safe and had a home to come home to.

Baby Update

27 weeks almost over but it feels so far away at the same time.
I have started to waddle and it has become harder to breath when laying on my back. Oh the beauty of pregnancy!!! Parker is moving a lot and it can visibly been seen from the outside. Ashton has fun talking to his baby brother and kissing my belly.

Halloween!!

Halloween has come and gone!! I can't believe we are already in November!!!
We took Ashton Trick-or-Treating this year to a new neighborhood. Our neighborhood was such a dud last year we wanted to actually visit more that 6 houses!!!

Anyhow we headed over to my friend Julie's house. Ashton got to trick-or-treat with McKenna, Julies oldest daughter and their neighbor's daughter Macey. We had such a great time. He scored so much candy he could barely carry his pumpkin. He was a little trooper though!!
He ate so much candy!! I surprised he didn't go into a sugar coma!
We are slowly working through our candy stash, at this rate we may have some left at Christmas.

So before I knew it it's almost Halloween. We have been so busy the last couple weeks...I didn't realize how far behind I am!!!

Ashton and Mike carved this years pumpkin! We went for an easy design this year, tried not to be too ambitious. Ashton is in the Halloween spirit and sings Halloween songs whenever he sees a pumpkin or Halloween decorations. This is going to be a fun year for him.

So happy he finally gets to carve a pumpkin!!!!

Mike has added another toy to his vastly growing collection. Although I must mention that this the last toy for awhile. This is much more of a family toy but was spearheaded by Mike.
We took her out for her madien voyage last weekend, she ran like a champ. We have absolutly no complaints. Even in rough water it was a relaxing boat ride. It's perfect for our growing family. We plan on getting a few more trips to Havasu in before Parker make his debut.

Visiting with Great Grandma Frannie

Since my grandma now lives closer we are able to visit her more often. My mom and I try to go once a month to visit her and take her out to lunch. So today after Karate we headed over to the home. We came right in the middle of exercise and sing along session for the residents. My grandma took us over to introduce us to the instructor. She invited Ashton out into the middle of the circle to help lead in the exercise. I was concerned it might be a little overwhelming for him to be in the center of a circle of strangers. Well I was WRONG!! After demonstrating the exercises for everyone he took a seat in the center of the floor to begin the sing along. They passed out noise makers, rattles and bells for everyone. They then began to sing song after song all the while Ashton was dancing and singing and shaking his rattle. So 25 minutes later we finally left for lunch.

It was nice to see him bring so many smiles to some many people. I think they really enjoyed having him there and seeing him having so much fun. Convalescent Homes can be depressing and drab and I think he brought a bit of sunshine into their lives today. I look forward to our next visit.

More Disney Please

We headed out to Disneyland on Sunday with my parents, my brother, Ashton, Michael and myself. It was a gorgous day!! We had great weather and minimal crowds. You would have thought the tram was the BEST thing ever!! Ashton LOVED it! Ashton and Mike went on most of the rides together because Mommy can't go on some of them. Parker isn't quite ready for rides yet :)

He really enjoyed riding the rockets with Daddy and playing at the waterpark. We all went on Finding Nemo for the first time. Don't know if it was worth the 45 minute wait but Ashton seemed to enjoy himself.

Karate Class

Today was Ashton's first taste of Karate. And to my suprise he LOVED it! He followed directions and was MORE than willing to participate. He could barely wait for his turn again. He was eager to get out there and "punch, punch, kick". There are about 10 kids in his class, ages 2-6 a good mix. He even got to spar with another kid. He is looking forward to next week. Next week he will have his own gloves and an "offical" karate out fit. His teacher is great with all the kids and has been doing "Little Ninja" in Eastvale for a couple of years. This might be something we do until next summer!!

I am feeling a Ninja Birthday party coming on!! :)

Ashton's First Day of School

So Ashton has moved up the potty training class. Cross your fingers!! He's very excited not to be in the "baby" class anymore. He loves his new teacher!! He is talking so much more and we can actually have conversations with him. At school he loves to read and play on the playground. He always greeted with a warm welcome from his friends in class.
Although the terrible 2s are in full swing it seems to be manageable some days are better than others! He's becoming very helpful around the house and loves to clean the floors and table tops. He takes after his father! That is definitely not a trait his mother holds. He loves to help unload the dishwasher and give the dogs their treats.

BOY!!!!

We hurried on down to Murrieta this afternoon to find out Team Pink or Team Blue. The votes were split 50/50. Team Blue takes it!! We are over the moon with excitement. Mike is looking forward to having another little mini Mike running around after him. Although I may be out numbered I am still the BOSS.

As crazy as it may sound, well maybe not you know us we are planners. We have chosen the name Parker John Ehrle. It's so surreal to put a name to this baby, we have been calling him IT or "the baby" for 4 months. So now it's REAL!!!

We look forward to decorating and making preperations for his arrival!!

So I will begin in the middle

We have been married 5 years!! YIPEE

Mike is still working for Verizon and I am working at Mangels and associates slinging bread bags. It's a far cry from my hayday in the fashion industry!!! But it is such a perfect job for me and our situation I am truly grateful I stumbled upon it!

We are currently looking into getting a new boat. With our family expanding it has almost become a need so we can enjoy our time on the river. Mike is having hard time giving up the "hot rod" type of boat and trading in for the "family boat". We have to compromise and he realizes he's getting what he wants, he just doesn't know he wants it yet.

Ashton is now 2.5 and growing like a weed! He is about start his pre-school potty training class Sept 2. So hopefully he will diaper free sometime soon. He has been lucky enough to go to Disneyland and California adventure at least once a month. Thank goodness for annual passes!! He is talking a lot more and has so many things to say...if you can figure out what he is saying please let us know!! Ashton is really looking forward to being a big brother. Not sure if he realizes baby stays! That should be fun!!!

Baby #2 and Diaper Duty (AGAIN)
I am currently 15 weeks pregnant and I am DYING to find out what we are having!!! I have decorating to do!!! I am so happy to be out of the 1st trimester. No more morning sickness and I have gotten my energy back. Sometimes I even cook dinner!!! If Mike's lucky!!

We went for a 1st Trimester Ultrasound scan about 2 weeks ago. This was to determine the odds of having a baby with Down Syndrome. We finally got the results back today. Everything came back normal. Really meaning that the odds are really low. GOOD NEWS. They ususally only test woman 35 years and older, until recently they opened up the testing to all women. We are really looking forward to having another baby, our family will be complete. Because after this one we are DONE!! Sorry Dee Dee!!
